Welcome to BAD AKUMA: Academic and Creative Consultancy. At Bad Akuma we aim to combine our passions for emerging scientific research and the creative arts aiming to foster creative and academic projects that draw essence from each.
Unique to BAD Akuma we have access to a current academic researcher with in-depth knowledge of several fields of science and emerging technologies. This experienced writer, performer and academic researcher has mastered the art of creating compelling narratives while also working on cutting edge medical research for over 10 years.
Creative Consultancy: With a deep passion for the visual arts and previous experience provide consultancy and guidance on a variety of creative projects; Coupled with a profound understanding of great storytelling we can provide in-depth notes on a wide variety of creative projects (not limited to literature manuscripts, screenplays, and theatre productions).
Academic Consultancy: For those interested in academic consultancy we can provide detailed review of your current research project, manuscript and for those looking for employment CV review and interview coaching.
ALL ABOUT BAD AKUMA
Over the last eight years BAD AKUMA have worked as a creative consultant in the industry, while previously managing several successful comedic groups at the University of Toronto and the city of Toronto as a whole. While working creatively we also have a unique focus on academic researcher, with one member working in medical research for over ten years.
These opportunities allowed BAD AKUMA to further hone our writing skills while also exposing us to a variety of projects and formats ranging from literature manuscripts, screenplays to fully produced classical musical performances. Always combining the essences of both science and art.
BAD AKUMA Co-Created and Co-Directed for “Rice and Fry” and genre bending classical musical comedy; combining the best elements of both comedy and classical music. “Rice and Fry” opened to rave reviews and a sold out audience during the first test performance; later in this year we are scheduled to bring the show to larger audiences in Beijing and London.
As a Creative Consultant BAD AKUMA provide comedic notes and coaching to individuals or productions looking to ad comedy to their scripts, productions or performances. Currently BAD AKUMA is providing script consultation services to “Ocean of Dreams” a Beijing stage production currently in production; combining magic, illusions ,musical theatre and dramatic story telling.
